Issue/Introduction

Stretching a cluster in a VCF environment fails at task "Configure Static Routes On ESXi Hosts along with Witness Validation" with "Static routes configured for host "(all the hosts in the cluster)" to vSAN IP ##..##.##.## is not as expected".

 

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 4.x
VMware Cloud Foundation 5.x

Cause

SDDC Manager could not SSH into the ESXi hosts.

Resolution

Enable/Start  SSH service on all the ESXi hosts in the vSAN Cluster using following Knowledge Base Article  

Enable SSH on ESXi Hosts in VCF

Additional Information

Starting from VCF 4.4, the SSH is disabled on all the ESXi hosts to reduce the security risk.
