Issue/Introduction

We are using the Identity Portal integrated with SiteMinder for SSO. There is an issue affecting users with Arabic characters in their Distinguished Name (DN).

SiteMinder authenticates users from Active Directory and passes them to Identity Management (IM). Users with Arabic characters in their DN are unable to access the Identity Portal, and an HTTP 500 error is logged in the F5 logs.

Some Organizational Unit (OU) names in Active Directory are in Arabic. We tested by moving users from Arabic-named OUs to English-named OUs, and the issue was resolved for the English-named OUs.

We need a solution for this problem, as we cannot change the OU names from Arabic to English.

Resolution

Engineering provided a hot fix (on top of 14.5.1 CHF1) to resolve this issue as part of defect DE621713. If you face the same issue then please create a support ticket and request for the fix.
