Carbon Black EDR: Changes in RPM package for EDR Linux sensor post upgrade to 7.3.2 version

Issue/Introduction

Prior to 7.3.2 Linux sensor version, we can see two rpm packages such as cbsysd and cbsensor.

cbsysd rpm package is missing post upgrade to the 7.3.2 version.

 

Environment

EDR Console: All Versions.

EDR Linux sensor: 7.3.2 and above.

Cause

cbsysd rpm file has been added to the cbsensor rpm file to make it transparent and to avoid confuison. 

Resolution

• There is a change in EDR Linux sensor release 7.3.2 package where there is only one rpm package. ie. cbsensor.
• The cbsysd rpm package is removed and its contents are added to cbsensor rpm.
