Sorting the list displayed under the "Advanced Parameters" tab in the Virtual Machine settings may cause unexpected behavior when adding or deleting parameters.

Issue/Introduction

Sorting has issues in UI.

Issue1: Right-click the virtual machine and select Edit Settings. > Click the Advanced Paramters tab > Click on "Attribute" to sort the list > Enter a new paramter and its value > ADD.
It results in a value being displayed that differs from the one entered.

Issue2: Right-click the virtual machine and select Edit Settings. > Click the Advanced Paramters tab > Click on "Attribute" to sort the list > Right-click on parameter and select Remove
It results in the failure to remove a parameter.

Environment

vCenter Server 8.0

Cause

When perform a grid sort and then try to add a new element it tries to add it at index 0, but due to the sorting the element goes not to the first place. It goes for example to the index N and gets the value of that element which was there before on the place with index N.

Resolution

The fix will be available in the 9.0 release
