Issue/Introduction

In the VLCR console, under the Recovery SDDC section, the cloud filesystem reports some live VMs.

Environment

VMware Live Cyber Recovery

Cause

During a DR Plan execution failure, the Virtual machines may did not recover fully. Clean-up might not perform during these scenarios, leaving behind some stale files and files and folders.
This will cause some Virtual machines to show as Live from the recovery SDDC.

Resolution

To verify, check the Recovery SDDC vCenter to see if the VMs are running on the SCFS-mounted datastore, which should have the same name as seen in the VLCR UI. This should be validated against any actively running DR Plans.

To resolve the issue, stale files or folders must be identified within the backend cloud filesystem with assistance from Broadcom support.

If the symptoms above align with your issue, please contact Broadcom Support by opening a new support ticket for assistance with the cleanup process.
