How can I hide required system attributes in create page for Classic?

Issue/Introduction

There are two attributes ID and Page Layout that are required for every object. We have a custom object where ID is auto-numbered and Page Layout has a default value, that will not change.

How can i hide both of these attributes on the Create View page in Classic UI?

Resolution

1. In order for ID attribute to become hidden on Create page you will need:

a. Enable auto-numbering.

b. It should allow to go to Create-Layout and remove ID column from it so it will not show when attempting to create new instance of the object.

2. For Page Layout attribute to be hidden from Create Page:

a. Default to be set for Page Layout attribute.

b. Under Views->Fields set default override to same default value.

c. Mark attribute as Hidden.
