Unable to delete an Organization VDC due the status spinning on ready.

Issue/Introduction

• Unable to delete the Organization VDC (Org VDC) from VMware Cloud Director (VCD) UI.
• The Org VDC status is spinning on ready as per screenshot below:
  

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

The Org VDC status cannot be deleted due the busy status.

Resolution

1. Take a DB backup before proceeding as per documentation at Backup and Restore of Your VMware Cloud Director Appliance
2. Check How to establish an API connection VMware Cloud Director
3. Take note of the Org VDC ID in the URL after browsing the Org VDC on the provider portal as highlighted in the below example:
   
   https://vcloud.example.com/provider/cloud/orgvdcs/####.########.#####.#########6450/general


4. Disable the Org VDC running the below API call:
   
   POST https://vcloud.example.com/api/admin/vdc/{Org VDC ID form step 2}/action/disable
   
   
5. The state of the Org VDC will change to disable
6. Delete the Org VDC form the UI as per documentation at Delete an Organization Virtual Data Center From VMware Cloud Director
   
   

If there are any failures from the disable action please open a support request referencing this knowledge article with a backup of the Cloud Director database. Alternatively you can attempt re-enabling as well with: 
POST https://vcloud.example.com/api/admin/vdc/{Org VDC ID form step 2}/action/enable
