Bootbank cannot be found at path '/bootbank'

Issue/Introduction

Host intermittently changes from "Not Responding" state to "Responding" state.

Bootbank errors found on the Aria Operations for Logs (ex LogInsight) as remote syslog collector.

The ESXiCLI is accessible via ssh (putty) but you will not be able to view logs and or the datastore will be slow to respond.

vMotion of VM will fail.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 8.x

Cause

The ESXi host lost connection to the /bootbank partition.

Resolution

Reboot the ESXi host to recover from the error.

After the reboot, if you are booting from USB/SD card please engage your hardware vendor to look and replace the faulty device.
