Issue/Introduction

You have deployed a virtual appliance in AWS and need to retrieve the UUID of the device

• Automatic generation:

  AWS automatically generates the UUID when you launch an instance, you don't need to manually create it.  

   
• Accessing the UUID:

  You can view the instance's UUID in the AWS management console, usually listed as "Instance ID"
