Environment

VMware NSX-T

Cause

  • This issue is due to communication issues between vCenter and NSX manager VIP/NSX managers.
  • An incorrect DNS PTR can also contribute to this error.

Resolution

  • SSH into the VCSA to test connectivity to the remote NSX Manager's URL over TCP 443 which a required port to opened. There should be a clear indication of a successful SSL/HTTP session. If not, engage your firewall team .
    curl -k -v https://<NSX_MANGER_FQDN>
    curl -k -v https://<NSX_MANGER_VIP_FQDN>

  • Run the command "nslookup" against NSX-MGR VIP to confirm if DNS PTR is accurate. If it is not, contact the DNS administrator to find and remove the incorrect PTR.
    nslookup <NSX-MGR VIP>
