HCX - Error when trying to Resync Service Mesh: "Switch: Transport_zone_name of type: OVERLAY_BACKED does not span all the hosts in at least one of the Compute Clusters"

Issue/Introduction

• You are trying to resync the service mesh and get the following error:

Switch: <Transport_zone_name> of type: OVERLAY_BACKED does not span all the hosts in at least one of the Compute Clusters

• Service Mesh contains Network Extensions.
• NSX has been federated after the initial deployment of the Service Mesh.

NSX Federation

Cause

HCX does not integrate with the NSX Global Manager for extending networks

Resolution

In order to solve this issue proceed with one of this two options:

• Remove NE service from the Service Mesh
• Remove the NSX Local-Manager from the Global-Manager.
