'Error retrieving report instances from server' while creating custom reports from Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

While creating any custom report from Aria Operations,Ui shows 'Error retrieving report instances from server'

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

This happens due to insufficient privileges assigned to the logged in user 

Resolution

• Login as local user (admin)  and retry creating custom reports and it should go through.
• If local user access is not possible, provide admin level access to AD user and retry the creation of custom reports
