Issue/Introduction

Multiple event logs indicate "Applied new configuration for WAN version" after VCO 6.2.0.4.

Environment

VCO software version 6.2.0.4

Cause

Before VCO version 6.2.0.4, the event "Applied new configuration for WAN version" appeared on the VCO only when both the interface number and logical ID were renewed.

After upgrading to VCO 6.2.0.4, this event will now appear even if either the interface number or the logical ID is renewed.

The issue has been observed In a edge, where PPPoE link is used and when dynamic tunnels are formed through that link, logicalID of the link gets changed. The links stats are sent to VCO. This in turn triggers VCO to send WAN configuration.

Resolution

This issue has been tracked under defect #157685. Engineering is working on the fix to keep the logical Id constant.
