sap_basis probe: Connection Status null

Issue/Introduction

We are doing some alert fine-tuning / optimisation, and found a large number of such alerts coming from our sap_basis  probes 

#SID: ### The monitor ####.Connection Status on  ###:100 is outside expected limits (null != 1);

Could we check if there is any issue with sap_basis probe because we noticed "null != 1", or this is the expected behaviour because SAP team verified during the period of these alerts SAP systems were all working perfectly fine

Any supported UIM version

sap_basis probe v2.22

Resolution

The alarm is getting generated when any client tries to make a Remote function call(RFC) and for any reason fails, it returns a  null value and we get this message which is ignorable.

This alert can be ignored and can be avoided with NAS configuration.

Can create a preprocessing rule in nas to exclude this alarm from the sap_basis probe
