Symptoms :
A general system error occurred: Failed to extract image from the host: an error occurred while re-creating VIB VMware_bootbank_esx-base_8.0.2-0.48.24789317. Extraction of image from host ESXi_FQDN failed
"Cannot find or stage payload useropts type boot of VIB VMware_bootbank_esx-base_8.0.2-0.48.24789317: "filename \'var/db/payloads/boot/useropts\' not found"
Each update of the kernel configuration also triggers an update to the /bootbank/useropts.gz file, but due to a known issue, the basemisc.tgz might not contain the default useropts file after such an update. As a result, when attempting to extract a vSphere Lifecycle Manager image from an existing ESXi host, the absence of the default useropts file leads to failure to create the esx-base.vib file and the operation also fails.
