Jobs running with large hostgroups take a very long time to run

Issue/Introduction

There are slowdowns a few times a day when hostgroup resolution takes a longer time than expected.  This can take anywhere from 15 seconds to between 5 and 45 minutes.  

A trace shows something like:

oh_idnr 16512404 is a HOSTG

This happens when generate at runtime is used

21.0.12 and below
24.3.0 HF2 and below

Resolution

With the release of 21.0.13 and 24.4.0, the processing of hostgroups has been greatly improved
