Issue/Introduction

When charging tenants for VMs based on storage usage. The billing is multiplied by the number of VMs attached to a named disk when using the "Aggregate storage charges from VMs, media, vApp templates and independent disks for PAYG Org-VDCs" option in 'Storage pricing' options within the 'Chargeback' & 'Pricing Settings' in the Aria Ops UI.

Using the alternative "Aggregate storage charges from Storage profiles for PAYG Org-VDCs" results in the bill including swap disks and log disks in the calculation.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

When a named disk is not attached to any VM, then the pricing for it is shown under the Independent disks section of the bill.

When a named disk is attached to a VM, then the pricing for it is shown under the VM's Storage Policies that is assigned to the named disk.
