Unable to Activate vSphere Security Configuration Guide in Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

• When navigating to Aria Operations UI → Operations → Compliance and clicking 'Activate From Repository' under vSphere Security Configuration Guide, the system incorrectly redirected the user to the vCenter adapter configuration page, rather than the intended activation page for the compliance template.
• Additionally, in some scenarios, when navigating to: Aria Operations UI → Operations → Compliance → vSphere Security Configuration Guide, the “Enable” button is missing, which prevents users from activating the compliance benchmark.

 

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

The vSphere Security Configuration Guide scorecard is incorrectly flagged with a Disabled status within the internal PostgreSQL database. This is a recognized synchronization issue where the UI fails to reflect or trigger the necessary state change for the compliance plugin.

Resolution

The permanent fix for this issue will be included in Aria Operations future release.

As a workaround vSphere Security Configuration Guide can be enabled in Aria Operations by directly updating the scorecard state to "Enabled" in the database.
