Issue/Introduction
Summary: Newly introduced fields that provide information used for publishing Staffing Scenarios should not be visible in Clarity UX. We did not intend for these fields to appear across the application outside of the Staffing Scenarios Publishing activities.
You will see the following 3 fields will appear for pages across Clarity.
Outside of the Staffing Scenario, these fields will be blank.
Staff Object
Staff Scenario Changed
Investment Objects
Staff Scenario Investment Changed
Staff Scenario Publish Status
Recommendation:
Do NOT use these fields.
The administrator can 'hide' or 'secure' these fields across Clarity by using the following steps for all users that will NOT use the new Staffing Scenarios Publish feature.
If you have users that will use the new 'Publish' feature, it is important to configure this correctly so that it does NOT interfere with the ability to publish a Staffing Scenario.
Go to Administration, Attributes
Mark all 3 fields 'Secure' in the Staff Object and all Investment Objects
Ensure that any user with the new 'Staffing Scenario - Publish - Owner' or 'Staffing Scenario - Publish - All' access rights are granted 'Access View' to the fields.
No need to grant 'Access Edit' to the fields as they are read-only fields.
These users will need to have access so that they are not prevented from using the 'Publish' action by generating (API-1005) FLS errors.
However, this means that these users will see the fields across the Clarity UX outside of the Staffing Scenarios - which does not provide any value because the values will be blank.
