The landing page takes a long time to load on Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

• When logging into Aria Operations for the first time, the home page takes a considerable (~5 minutes) amount of time to load.

• The HAR file analysis reveals that the API GET calls take ~1-2 mins to complete.
• There are about 15 GET requests made to https://*.tile.openstreetmap.org (Public URL) before the page fully loads.

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

The UI waits for all resources to load before displaying the page. When the Map widget on the home page takes longer to load, it can cause the UI to lag.

Resolution

The UI is working as expected. However, a Feature request has been raised to minimize the load time.

Workaround:

• Change the landing/home page to a Dashboard which doesn't include the Map Widget.
• Click the 'Actions' menu on a dashboard that you want to set as the landing page.
  

• Select 'Add to Product Home'.

  

• The dashboard appears in the Home page, beside the Launchpad tab.
