VRRP Polling was enabled on a device but no VRRP information is being seen in Spectrum.

Issue/Introduction

After enabling VRRP on a device, when the customer modeled the device in Spectrum they were not seeing any polls to the VRRP tables to the device from Spectrum.

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum: All Versions

Cause

The VRRPMode is off by default for the device and must be enabled to "Active or Passive"

Resolution

1. Find all of the VRRPApp models using the Locator ( You can create a search by Model Type name = VRRPApp)
2. Select all of the models and right click Utilities -> Attribute Editor.
3. In the Filter box, type VRRPMode
4. Change the value to "Active" or "Passive" to enable VRRP.
5. Click on the OK button.

The three modes are the following:

Off: - VRRP is disabled. (default)

Passive: - VRRP table is polled once at activation but otherwise relies on updates from traps to know when to update information.

Active: - VRRP table is polled every poll interval in addition to the passive processing.
