Issue/Introduction

Customers may need to change the IP address of their vCenter Server and are concerned about its impact on the Workload Control Plane (WCP) network.

Since WCP operates as a separate process within vSphere, there may be uncertainty regarding whether changing vCenter's IP address affects its functionality.

Resolution

WCP uses vCenter's FQDN as the PNID (primary network identifier) so changing the IP address has no impact on WCP.
