Error when attempting to update the vIDM SSL Thumbprint on NSX-T: VMware Identity Manager configuration update in progress. (Error code: 36522)

Issue/Introduction

• vIDM connection shows Down from the NSX UI
• The following error is seen when attempting to update the SSL Thumbprint from the VMware Identity Manager Configuration page:
  "Error: VMware Identity Manager configuration update in progress. (Error code: 36522)"

Resolution

Workaround:

1. Proceed with one of the following options:
   

   a) Login as root on each NSX Manager node and Restart the Proxy and Proton services:
   # restart service proton
   # restart service http

   b) Perform a rolling reboot of the NSX Managers.

2. Update the new thumbprint:

• Navigate to System -> Users -> Configuration -> Edit. VMware Identity Manager
• Enter the certificate thumbprint of the vIDM host. (See how to Obtain the Certificate Thumbprint from a vIDM Host)
