Issue/Introduction

Issue:

Can one create EEM policies to restrict users from creating Workload Automation AE jobs with names longer than 32 characters?

Environment:

Embedded Entitlements Management 12.51

Workload Automation AE 11.3.x

Workload Control Center 11.x

Resolution:

Workload Automation AE job names can be secured via EEM policies.

The as-job policies control the permissions and naming convention for AE jobs.

This is an example of a filter one may add to their as-job policies

to limit the job name's length to 32 characters or less

Note:

The reason a value of 36 is used is to accommodate a prefix of the $AUTOSERV and dot prefix

that are added to the job name.

Attempting to create a job named Mark in the AUTOSERV ACE instance results in a requested resource of ACE.Mark

The total length therefor is 8 characters.
