Issue/Introduction

This article outlines the support policy for HCX Manager snapshots in VMC environments during upgrades.

Environment

• VMware HCX Manager
• VMC on AWS cloud environment

Cause

VMC environments operate with different infrastructure management policies than on-premises deployments.

Resolution

1. Manual snapshots of HCX Manager in VMC are not supported for upgrades
2. Starting with HCX 4.10, the system automatically handles pre-upgrade snapshots
