Issue/Introduction

Issue/Problem/Symptoms: 

NetVoyant Service Manager Service fails to start from the Windows Service Manager.

Environment:  

NetVoyant 7.x

Windows 2003/2008

Cause: 

This is likely caused by a problem with table or series of tables in the NetVoyant database.

Resolution/Workaround:

1. Download the database repair tool ftp://ftp.ca.com/pub/netqos/supporttools/releasedtools/DBToolv3.exe

2. Drop to a command line and run the following:

        dbtoolv3 repair nms2

3. Once completed start the NetVoyant Service Manager Service.
