Change gateway pools for offline edges

Issue/Introduction

When changing gateways pools where there are different gateways, you may get an error that edges in the enterprise are still using certain gateways. If these edges are offline and cannot be deleted, you can follow this workaround to change the gateway pool

Resolution

In order to change gateway pools for offline edges, you can do the following steps:

1. Clone the gateway pool
2. Assign new cloned GW pool to the customer
3. Edit cloned gateway pool to remove all un-needed gateways
4. Save and perform a gateway rebalance
   • Gateway rebalance can be done from the Configure section after selecting all edges

 

Once the other edges are brought back online, they will automatically change to the new gateways.
