Issue/Introduction

Attempting to unzip a pax file in USS to install an SMP/e file, observet error message:

GIM43501S ** THE CALL TO THE CSNBOWH SERVICE FAILED WHEN PROCESSING
                        /u//SMPPTFIN/product.SMPMCS.pax.Z.

Environment

Release: 16.0
Component: ACF2 for Z/Os

Cause

Firewalls can invoke z/OS Integrated Cryptographic facilities to perform internal security functions.
These services are protected using the resource class CSFSERV.

Resolution

Run the ACFRPTRV report and look for a violation for the class CSFSERV.

SAF RESOURCE CLASS CSFSERV                                                    

RESOURCE NAME: CSFOWH                                                         

The CSFSERV class defaults to SAF and should be changed to a type code unique to the CSFSERV class via an CA ACF2 CLASMAP record.  
CSFSERV uses FASTAUTH, therefore,  must be made resident with an INFODIR entry.  However, a sample rule under type SAF would look like this:

$KEY(CSFOWH) TYPE(SAF)
UID(userid) ALLOW
