Issue/Introduction

  • Unable to add/manage removable devices to a virtual machine in the Standalone VMRC console via VMware Cloud Director(VCD)
  • "Removeable Device" option is greyed out
  • The same option is available when using VMRC for vCenter VMs

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6

Virtual Machine Remote Console(VMRC)

Cause

This behavior is because the functionality mentioned is not supported from VCD.

Resolution

Currently there is no resolution or workaround.
