hs_err_pid registry crash shows very large number of threads (2468) for ActiveMQ connections to the coordinator

Issue/Introduction

The hs_err_pid####.log showed:
The RegistryService.exe java process had a fatal EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
Current thread "ServerRequestResponder ###" 
Very large number of threads (>2400) for ActiveMQ connections to the coordinator (##.##.##.##:2011)
10 Internal exceptions relating to SocketTimeoutException

Environment

DevTest 10.7.2

Cause

CVS monitors were automatically created using custom code and .mar files.
In the DevTest Portal more than 580 pages were shown of One Time running jobs.
Eventually these jobs were causing a resource problem

Resolution

A possible way to remove these old jobs:
Each day, stop the registry and coordinator services, remove the cvsmonitors that are no longer needed from the cvsmonitor folder and then restart the registry and coordinator.
