Statistics metrics missing for edge(s)

Issue/Introduction

• When reviewing metrics for an edge gateway the Statistics metrics are missing for some edge(s) 
  
  • Expect to see similar to :
  • Instead what we see is :

• No issues with collection for NSX- T and VCD adapter 
• Error in /storage/log/vcops/log/adapters/VCloudAdapter/VCloudAdapter_<adapterid>.log is similar to Failed to find NSX endpoint for edge xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  edge-name.
• Querying vCloud director through API call you see there is an extra space in the edge name https://\vcdfqdn/api/query?type=edgeGateway&format=records&pageSize=128 
• When viewing the edge in vCD UI there is an extra space in the name

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x 

vCloud Director: 10.5.1.x or later

NSX-T: 4.1.2.x or later

 

Cause

There is an extra space in the edges name and as a result VCD adapter is not collecting the data 

Resolution

Update the edge name in VCD removing extra spaces
