Symantec Messaging Gateway integrated with LDAP server and Address resolution is enabled.
Once address resolution is enabled, the Symantec Messaging Gateway will query the local recipient to retrieve its SMTP proxy address.
In the Message Audit Logs, some unreadable characters may appear in the local recipient address, and Brightmail will be unable to apply filtering policies to those messages.
The LDAP server administrator should verify that there are no hidden characters, such as LRM
, in the local recipient proxy address. Since these characters are hidden, the proxy address should not be copied to Recipient Attribute Editor and manually typed in to ensure accuracy.
