Issue/Introduction

Question:  

The CA Chorus Metrics ribbon metric values are not being displayed in the metric panel. Why?

Answer: 

CA ACF2 statistical gathering for CA Mainframe Chorus needs to be activated for the CA Chorus Metrics ribbon to display the statistics. The ACF2 GSO CHORUS STATG|NOSTATG needs to be set to STAG to start statistical gathering processing for CA Mainframe Chorus.

 

STATG|NOSTATG

Specifies whether statistical gathering for the CA Mainframe Chorus Time Series Facility is enabled. This field must be turned on to start statistical gathering processing for CA Mainframe Chorus. The default is NOSTATG.

 

When CA ACF2 statistical gathering for CA Mainframe Chorus is active, statistical information for the Sysplex Coupling Facility, Cache Facility, Command Propagation Facility (CPF) and SAF RACROUTE requests are captured and routed to the CA Mainframe Chorus Time Series Facility.

 

The CA ACF2 statistical gathering for CA Mainframe Chorus can be

activated and deactivated as follows.

 

To activate statistical gathering for CA Mainframe Chorus

Issue the following command:

 

F ACF2,CHRSTAT(START)

 

To deactivate statistical gathering for CA Mainframe Chorus

Issue the following command:

 

F ACF2,CHRSTAT(STOP)

 

Note: If CA ACF2 is restarted, statistical information is reset. Statistical information is not captured for CA Mainframe Chorus Time Series if the STATG gathering task is deactivated.
