Are there any new Programs or Tasks for IDMS release 19.0?

Issue/Introduction

Question:

In the IDMS 19.0 install configuration stage, are there any new Programs or Tasks for IDMS release 19.0?

Answer:

IDMS release 19.0 is identical in features and functionality to Release 18.5.00; 
however since 19.0 was first released, we have had two more Incremental releases 
INC01 and INC02 which contain additional features. 

Incremental Releases is the new direction for CA product packaging; in that new features 
or enhancements will be released as they are completed rather than waiting for a specific 
period of time (say every 6 months). This way, customers can try out the new features 
as they become available. 

Incremental Release 1 (INC01) contains these three new features (RI83847): 
1. RO79890 CA IDMS Web Services Consumer 
2. RO81229 Manually Request LOG Offloading 
New command 'DCMT Vary LOG' 
3. RO81229 Dynamically Turn zIIP ON/OFF 
New command 'DCMT Vary ZIIP ON/OFF' 
(Note: RO82708 corrects PE PTF RO81229) 

The new 19.0 Programs or Tasks introduced by Incremental 1 and 2 PTFs are listed in the PTF HOLDDATA which describes extra steps needed and in several cases it requires adding new PROGRAM and TASK definitions to the SYSGEN.

The new 19.0 Programs are RHDCMTZP (RO81229), RHDCWSKP, RHDCWSMS, RHDCWSQL, RHDCWSQP, RHDCWSSC, RHDCWSSP, RHDCWSWS, IDMSCONS, IDMSCONP, IDMSPROV, (RO79890 and RO85969).

New 19.0 Tasks WSQP, WSQL, IDMSEMPD, LWEBSERV, and AUTOTASK WSQL (RO79890 and RO85969).

Incremental Release 2 (INC02) contains another three new features or enhancements: 
1. RO80871: SQL Virtual Foreign Keys SELECT 
2. RO85969: CA IDMS Web Services Provider 
3. RO83713: Enhancement to reduce zIIP overhead for DB Exits
