Issue/Introduction

Need verification that AutoSys Dual Event Servers on Oracle Single Node RAC database is supported

Environment

AutoSys 12.1SP1

AutoSys 24.0

Resolution

Beginning with the AutoSys 12.1SP1 release, AutoSys supports Oracle RAC to leverage the high availability (HA) features Oracle provides.

When Oracle RAC is used, it is assumed that the high availability provided by RAC eliminates the need for dual server mode.If both Oracle

RAC and dual database support for HA are required, ensure the following: 

• Disable Transparent Application Failover (TAF) of Oracle RAC
• Utilize Oracle RAC One Node
