Issue/Introduction

In some cases, private link status may show as dead and the VPN status is not coming up although the link is up and tested successfully.

Environment

Velocloud edge with Private link

Cause

Link will only show as alive if the edge was able to to form any VCMP tunnel with VCGs/Hubs.

In some cases if the edge does not have the "SDWAN service reachable" enabled and does not have any hub edges with private links, the edge will not have any VCMP tunnels to peers and the link will show as dead.

Resolution

Link will show as alive only if the edge has overlay tunnels to any of the VCGs/Hubs.
