Built-in IDP Associated Authentication Method Getting Unchecked After Reboot.

Issue/Introduction

Issue is observed when we perform following steps

• Go to Aria Suite Lifecycle
• Power off VMware Identity Manager
• Power on VMware Identity Manager (reboot VMware Identity Manager checkbox is checked)
• Login to VMware Identity Manager
• Go to Identity & Access Management > Identity Providers > click on Built-in IDP
• Actual Result: Connector Authentication Method > Password(cloud deployment) checkbox is unchecked
• Expected Result: Connector Authentication Method > Password(cloud deployment) checkbox should be checked

When we go to some other page, say go to Policies and come back again on Identity & Access Management > Identity Providers > click on Built-in IDP, the issue is not observed.

Environment

VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7

Cause

The issue is a UI glitch within the VMware Identity Manager interface.

Observed no change Database table data select * from "IDPAuthMethod";

Also observed the API is also returning the correct values.

Resolution

A permanent fix for this issue will be included in an upcoming releases.
