Issue/Introduction

Issue:

At IPL, CAMASTER abends with a S0C4-3B or S0C4-10 in module CASRVSYM or CAMCRCVY and produces the error message:

CAS9125E - INVALID DATA: * SEVERE ERROR, CHECK CAIRIM GUIDE * -

 

Environment:  

  • z/OS 2.2 or z/OS 2.1 at current RSU levels
  • CA Common Services r14.1

 

Cause: 

When a CA product uses the CAMASTER Symbol Substitution Service or Metal C Recovery Services, CAMASTER may abend with a S0C4 in module CASRVSYM or CAMCRCVY.     

 

Resolution:

Apply PTF RO78180 to the system.

 

Additional Information:

PTF RO78180 updates the CAMASTER PC Services to prevent a potential reference to storage that may be unavailable.  This PTF is also required for CA Common Services r14.1 compatibility with z/OS 2.2.
