Issue/Introduction

• After upgrading vCenter Server from 6.x to 7.0, the following error is being noticed on the UI of Lifecycle Manager:
  
  Status 404 - https://<vCenter_FQDN>/ui/vum-ui/rest/vcenters/#compliance
  
  

• After upgrading to vCenter 8.0, Lifecycle Manager and Update Manager are not working

• vCenter UI > Lifecycle Manager displays:
  
  
  
  
• The issue is not present when opening an incognito window to the vCenter UI.

Environment

• VMware vCenter Server 7.0 
• VMware vCenter Server 8.0

Cause

Issue is caused due to browser cache issue

Resolution

To resolve the issue, clear the browser cache following the instructions for your browser:

• Google chrome

• Internet Explorer

• Firefox

Workaround:
Use a private/incognito browser window or a new browser session until the browser cache and cookies are cleared.
