Automation Central job stay in InProgress indefintely

Issue/Introduction

Automation Central job InProgress indefinitely or not executing.

Reboot of the VMs or the Operation Management will not resolve the issue. This seems to happen only to Central Automation Reboot jobs.

The stuck job tends to prevent other jobs (except Snapshot) from executing as well.  Job statuses may be InProgress indefinitely, Partially Succeeded or not executing at all. In the case of not executing job, corresponding VM will not reboot.

Analystic audit Log might indicate the jobs that did not execute have no IDs associated to them.

Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

Unknown. 

Resolution

Workaround around would be to alter the scheduled time a bit off from the original time or delete and recreate the same job of the same time.

Additional Information

• Different scheduled jobs on the same VM might run successfully but not the InProgress job.
• Upgraded to 8.18.2 did not resolved the issue.
