Issue/Introduction
As Vantage Windows client is reaching EOL as specified in the Vantage Community page, some of the frequently asked questions by customers are documented.
Resolution
Can we still use the Vantage Windows client after the EOL? Answer: Vantage - Windows Client will no longer be enhanced and operational and technical support will be discontinued effective date specified in the Vantage Community page. After EOL date, Broadcom will continue to make self-service support available until the end of your current maintenance term.
Are all desktop (Windows client) functions available on web client (Vantage StoragePoint™ Web Client)? Answer: Storage administrators can perform all the functions in the new web user interface. There could be some minor features left behind that, from our perspective, are not impactful or remain unidentified at this time.
How to modify system scripts on WEB client? Answer: No changes should be necessary for existing System Scripts created using the Windows Client, but for further information about configuring System Scripts using VSP, refer to the tech doc Manage System Scripts in the Vantage StoragePoint™ Web Client Wizard for additional details.
