APM EEM - steps to create the APM.p12 certificate

Issue/Introduction

We have integrated EEM with Ldap and need to integrate APM with EEM. In order to create the APM Application we need to execute the eem-register-app.xml which includes the APM.p12 certificate.

How to create this certificate file?

Environment

• APM 10.*
• Embedded Entitlements Manager

Resolution

There is no need to create separate cert files when registering the APM app in EEM. Running the command below is sufficient . 

safex.exe -h <EEM server host> -u EiamAdmin -p eiamadmin -f /root/eem.register.app.xml 

Once above command is executed successfully , APM.p12 file will be created under EEM bin folder with default options:
