Issue/Introduction

When attempting to change the Bus Type for a Virtual Machine Hard Disk in VMware Cloud Director (VCD) the Bus Type option in greyed out.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.X

Cause

Changing the Bus Type for a Virtual Machine Hard Disk in VMware vCloud Director is not supported.

Resolution

Changing the Bus Type for a Virtual Machine must be done through vCenter Server. Once the change has been made this will be reflected in VMware Cloud Director.
