Issue/Introduction

During OSIM Installation of a Windows Server 2016, following error occurs with canet.exe JoinDomain command :
Could not open CAPKI shared library, errno is 126

Environment

Client Automation 14.5
OSIM installation of Windows Server 2016

Resolution

This error could occur if :

  • InstallDir is not present in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ComputerAssociates\Shared\CAPKI5

OR

  • File libcapki.dll could not be found in <path found registry>\CAPKI5\Windows\x86\32\lib

OR

  • MSVCR100.DLL file could not be found

 

Remark :

"canet.exe JoinDomain" command is executed by oobecustom.cmd (copied in %WINDIR%\Setup\Scripts\SetupComplete.cmd) after the reboot from directory c:\ca-osim

This directory contains all the needed DLL :
