Issue/Introduction

Upgrade from GW11.1 to GW11.1.1

Install Gateway 11.1.1 patch (Layer7_API_Gateway_Debian_v11.1.1-18484.L7P) After installing, status showing installed. Reboot the gateway server however the gateway status "Won't Start".

**** Unable to start the server: The version mismatch between the database (version 11.1.00) and Gateway (version 11.1.1) is too great. The database version must be within two major versions of the Gateway and cannot be lower. To resolve, either upgrade the database or the Gateway.

Required to update the mysql SSG database after the patch update

Summary:  MySQL Database

The MySQL database is most commonly used in the Gateway. To update this database:

1. Access the Gateway main menu.
2. Select option 2 (Display Layer7 API Gateway configuration menu).
3. Select option 1 (Upgrade the Layer7 API Gateway database) and follow the prompts on the screen.

For the cluster, update the database on only one node; does not require to update the database on all the nodes.
