Issue/Introduction

Is the Spectrum Remote Administration Service (SRAdmin) only used during DX NetOps Spectrum Installations and/or Upgrades? 

After an installation or upgrade is complete does the Spectrum Remote Administration Service (SRAdmin) need to stay running during normal Spectrum operations?

If the SRAdmin Service is not running, what effect does this have on the functions of DX NetOps Spectrum?

Resolution

The Spectrum Remote Administration Service (SRAdmin) is used for functions outside of the installation/upgrade processes. If the SRAdmin service is not running, the below functions may not work as intended:

- Network Configuration Manager

- SNMPv3 Decryption

- User Authentication
