Issue/Introduction

When a new feature is added that includes a Scheduled Job, the job should not be visible to users in UI unless the feature is enabled.

For REFRESH_RESOURCE_DIRECTORY this is currently an issue. 

The Clarity admin can enable the feature however this also makes the job execute as scheduled. If they don't want to enable the feature then there is an error when opening the job.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Connect to Clarity – MUX – Features and make sure Resource Directory and Relationship Explorer is disabled
  2. Go to Classic - Home – Reports and Jobs – Scheduled Jobs
  3. Filter on Job Name - REFRESH_RESOURCE_DIRECTORY

Expected Results: The job should not be visible to users in Home – Scheduled Jobs. Once the feature is enabled, the job should be marked as visible

Actual Results: One or more instances of a scheduled job are visible to the user, if they click on it, it throws and error NJS-0100: Job not found.

  • Fixed in Clarity 16.3.1

Workaround:

  • Option 1: Leave things as they are and ignore the job in UI
  • Option 2: Cancel and delete the job in UI. In future if you decide to use the feature you can add and schedule it manually
