Issue/Introduction

Does TPX support Enterprise Extender connections?

We are converting our VTAM TRL to Enterprise Extender connections.

Environment

TPX 5.4 

Resolution

The Enterprise extender (EE), interacts thru APPN with VTAM providing an extension to VTAM to TCP/IP networks.

TPX requires VTAM LU2 over SNA. There is no DIRECT link to EE, only via VTAM / APPN.
