When using Team Investments the allocations on each investment the team is allocated to will update based on the number of resources added to the team.
This is because the allocations on the team investment are considered availability for the team resource and in Clarity if a resource's availability changes their allocations will change as well.
An example would be
Team Investment T we will call 'T Resource' has 4 resources and all are 100 allocated showing allocations for each period.
For example total allocation for January would be 736 (184*4)
Adding T Resource to a project (can be any other investment type) would show 736 For January
However if you only need T Resource for 50 hours in January for the specific project, no matter how many resources are on T Resource, these hours will update when resources are added or removed from the team investment.
This be because a team investment's allocations are considered it's availability and on the project the allocation will change based on the team resource availability.
How can we keep the allocations as entered when the investment team resource is updated to add or remove resources from the team investment?
This will populate your ETC back to the staff allocations.
Each time a team member is added or removed from the team investment all you need to do is on the project / staff select the team(s) and click Allocate From Estimates. It will then update the allocations based on the ETC.
Note: If the team is already assigned to other tasks, Allocate from Estimates will add the ETC from all the other tasks as well.
