Error "The operation is not allowed in the current state of datastore" while performing a planned migration

Issue/Introduction

• The below error appears while performing a planned migration
• The failure happens when trying to unregister protected VMs in the source site

 

 

• vmware-dr.log has the below entry:

Environment

• VMware Live Site Recovery 9.x
• VMware Site Recovery Manager 8.x

Cause

The issue occurs when the source datastore is in maintenance mode

 

Resolution

Exit the affected datastore from maintenance mode.
